Our four permanent tented camps accommodate two people per tent and exemplify the essence of relaxed camping, offering cosy beds and private bathroom facilities. They also include a kitchen area.
With a strong focus on nature conservation, the campsites have been thoughtfully designed to minimise environmental impact while ensuring a comfortable experience. Situated in the rocky outcroppings nearby you can also find decks to relish the view and cool off in the small pool nestled amongst the boulders with a drink in hand. In the evenings have your camera at the ready to capture the spectacular sunsets, or marvel at the brightness and clarity of the Milky Way.
Hidden amongst large grey granite boulders and flourishing mopane trees, Hoada Campsite is situated on the #Khoadi//Hoas Conservancy close to Grootberg Lodge and just 75 kilometres from Kamanjab. It is another effort on the part of the community to raise funds for their people and showcase this isolated and unspoiled wilderness, with gratifying results.
A night or two here will ease the stresses of the modern world, as you take a step back in time and savour the basics of life again, with solitude, peace, views, and wilderness at your fingertips. This is the perfect place to rest on a tour of the vast open spaces of north-western Namibia.
In addition to the campsites, there is also the option of permanent tents should you need a little more luxury, and there is wood, braai packs, cutlery, and crockery available for purchase and rent at reception.
During your stay with us, you can embark on a trip along the Grootberg Pass, which is a mere twenty-minute drive from the camp, and keep a keen eye out for wildlife sightings. To the south, at Twyfelfontein, you can step back in time and marvel at the ancient rock engravings and paintings, which date back thousands of years. Fort Sesfontein, a two-hour drive away, is another captivating attraction, having been constructed in 1896 and recently renovated. Additionally, you have the option to visit a local village in the #Khoadi//Hoas Conservancy and immerse yourself in the authentic life of the locals.
With its proximity to Etosha National Park, only three hours away, Hoada Campsite serves as a perfect base camp for your adventures in this untamed and magnificent region.
Three properties in our portfolio are based on the #Khoadi//Hoas Conservancy and border the western edge of Etosha National Park; Hobatere Lodge, Hoada Campsite and Grootberg Lodge.
